Our History

The Seed of Hope Organisation that is trading as Imbewu Yethemba was founded in June 2010 and got officially registered in July 2012. It started as a Ministry with an attempt to support communities and families in enjoying blissful relationships, help them deal with HIV epidemic and Stigma, support all Gender Based initiatives, work with different Stakeholders in ensuring that Youth Development Activities are implemented effectively.

The organization has been providing HIV, TB and STI related programmes on a voluntary basis at different workplaces, schools and churches around Mbombela under Ehlanzeni District focusing mainly on Youth. These programmes are focusing on HIV Testing Services (HTS) referrals, Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) screening and testing.

This work commenced in June 2010 on ad hoc basis and our director has been working in collaboration with other government departments mainly Department of Health (DOH), Social Development (DSD) and other funded Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).
